How to read 50 books in 2008
How I did it: I arranged books on a shelf in my livingroom in January that I wanted to read during the year and added to that shelf when another book came along that I wanted to read. When one book was done, I'd choose another and get busy reading it as well.
Lessons & tips: 1. Read what you already have in your possession before you go buying more to read.
2. Set aside time each day to read. Even if you only set aside 15 minutes, half an hour or whatever, you will get closer to completing the goal each and every day.
3. Read what will stretch your imagination, broaden your horizons and make you smile or make you think!
4. Read that which interests you on occasion so you don't feel burned out because you don't like what you're reading.
5. If you come across a book that you thought would be a fantastic read and you find, upon reading it that you aren't all interested in the story line, put that book away and get another one! Keep reading!
6. Enjoy what you're doing!
Resources: I really didn't need to go out and buy any books to read. I have a personal library of better than a 1000 volumes to choose from.
Most of my books are gifts from others and books I've gotten second hand from the thrift store. No need to spend a great deal of money to accomplish this goal!
