How I did it: I work a VERY busy schedule.  As in a single mom with a full-time job, a part-time job, grad school, and OMG!!

So, the deal is that I do whatever I have to do to stay on top of things and not crack!!  In this respect, I endure months of 17 hour days at a time, and then when I feel that I am nearing the edge, I pack a bag and leave the city.....alone.

My son gets to spend the weekend with his grandparents and I get to find myself again.  On this occasion, I found myself in Hurghada.

I got there, spent three days there, and didn't do a SINGLE touristic thing. No snorkeling, no sky-diving, no lounging on the beach, I didn't even eat at the hotel..

What I did do, was rent a car :)  Every morning, I'd wake up, get in the car and drive.  I had no idea where I was or where I was going or when and how I would return..

But the windows were rolled down and Clapton sang Forever Man as my engine roared.  Best weekend getaway I've ever had.

Lessons & tips: No lessons, no tips.... this will be a different experience for each person.  You drive the course because there is a journey you're in need of.

Our journeys differ.. mine was to discover a part of me I had forgotten.
