How I did it: After going blonde a month or so before hand I decided to use it to my advantage and got red while it was light enough to make the red vibrant. It looked amazing right after I did it (I felt like a superhero) but after the first wash it already started to loose it's vibrancy. After a little over a week with washing every other day it had faded to a strawberry blonde hue.
Lessons & tips: You're going to need to be dedicated to the upkeep. Dying it often if you want to keep it vibrant. Make sure to only use hair products made for color treated hair, it'll hold the color a little longer.
Resources: Any color friendly shampoo, ones meant for red hair will sustain the color the best.

I dyed my hair an almost identical shade, washed it every other day, and it quickly turned copper. :(
Auburn and natural reds work much better for me. It’s a shame they don’t make bright reds that last more than a week or two, though!
hey i used to have my hair dyed pink and and my sister taught me this trick. it only works with temporary (like 6 week) dye though.
if you add a bit of the dye into your conditioner bottle, then every time you wash your hair it will refresh it some. hope this helps!
