How to to meet Irishpheonix for that "elusive cup of tea" by littlesoul

How I did it:

  • i commented on some posts that i found interesting.
  • we struck up a friendship.
    • We arranged to meet a few times but they fell through due to circumstances beyond our control.
    • Finally a date suited :)

Meeting Irishpheonix

was very exciting and a great experience. I knew him as soon as i saw him. His photographs on 43t do not do him justice at all (he’s even more handsome in real life). We had a lot to talk about and not nearly enough time…oh… and the time went much too quickly. He turned out to be even more thoughtful, genuine and interesting than i already knew him to be.
I’m disappointed that i couldn’t get him tickets for performances tomorrow night but hopefully some other time :( i hope he has a safe journey home on Monday.

I'm just fascinated

at the prospect of meeting the people you’ve identified with on 43T in “real life”. It sounds very rewarding and you’re very brave I think :)

Believe me

i’m not a brave person at all, i wish i was. i’ve met LGS and Irishphoenix now and hopefully, all going well, will meet Nicolasc when she’s over in the summer…maybe at the LEEDS meetup as LGS will be there too. My meetings with LGS and Irishphoenix were fantastic experiences and they turned out to be more than i had imagined….rewarding?.....definitely!!!

I'm glad

that you’ve had such rewarding experiences meeting these people and hope that you get a chance to meet Nicolasc. I imagine that you would have built up quite a strong relationship here that took a few years. Myself, I’ve only been here for a couple of years and am only just now beginning to build friendships :) At the risk of sounding completely ignorant, what is a LEEDS meetup?

i’ve heard that one of the places Nicolasc is visiting is Leeds…i have it from LGS (so blame her if i’m wrong:)) So a Leeds meetup :)
