How to get a tattoo

How I did it: It was my 30th b-day and my friend had taken me to dinner. Somehow we got to talking about tattoos and she said, "Let's go get you one." I didn't have time to think and the next thing I know we were in the shop. However, it was closing so the guy didn't have time to do it. So he told me that if I came back on Tuesday, he'd do it for free. I went back and now I have this lovely sunflower. He was amazing!!!!
It did hurt though, but I love it.
Two years later I went back to the same shop to get a hummingbird and flower and the guy was gone. So I had to settle for some other dude. His tattoo wasn't as amazing as my sunflower, so I'm gonna add on to it. Plus, he charged $180 when the other guy was only gonna charge me $80 for my sunflower.
Lessons & tips: The guy that did my hummingbird was drawing from a picture. Usually when people try to imitate something else and they aren't that good, it doesn't turn out well. I should have told him to use the picture as an inspiration instead of a copy. Next time I'll be wiser.
