How I did it: Most importantly, find the most convenient and competent places to donate, whether an actual blood center or a blood drive. I actually prefer the blood drives as the people seem more appreciative. Also, remember that you can give blood near your job, which may make it more convenient.
Lessons & tips: Be persistent, and try to give as frequently as you can.
