How to lose 10 kg
How I did it: I changed my eating habbits, I have a physical job so I didn't have to do any extra exersize (I guess I had a advantage there) I hate exersize so changing my eating habbits was easiest, its hard to lose weight, if you HATE exersize.
One of the things I think anyone needs to lose weight is motivation, and don't mean someone shouting at you "YOU CAN DO IT" while that helps temporarly, it doesn't help permantly, you need something bigger than that, something that really pushes you, ultimately something about being overweight that "Gets you down" or makes you sad or makes you feel like crap, oddly, this only motivates you to lose the extra kilos. It did for me anyway.
For instance when I was 10kgs heavier I went clothes shopping for my birthday, It was the most depressing clothes shopping experience I had ever had, I wasn't used to being overweight and over the last year or so, I put on the weight and didn't reallly notice, until I went shopping that day, and I didn't look good in the nice clothes, forgive me, but it made me feel like shit.
Before then I did want to lose weight and I tried but always failed, it was that motivation, that humiliation that I couldn't fit into the nice clothes, I never wanted that to happen again.
And I think its that motivation that made it ALOT easier for me to lose weight.
Also I found this one dare really useful...DON'T make a goal like "Going to diet for the next two months so I can lose 5kg" try dieting for ONE day, and see where that gets you, I garentee you will think "Man that was easy!" or "That wasn't going to be as hard as I thought" if you can diet for one day maybe you can diet for two days. Don't make a long term comitment to dieting, it only makes you depressed when you fail, when again and again you tell yourself, "right! I'm starting the diet tomorrow!" as you scoff down that last chocolate muffin you're ever going to have. No. Just no. Just try one day and If you can't try one meal! Try being healthy for just one meal!
Lessons & tips: How much food do you think a skinny person would eat? Do you have a attractive, thin friend that never eats when you do, or if (s)he does, does she eat as much as you? Is (s)he confident? Happy? If you have a friend like that, eat like they do. Or if you don't eat how you imagine a skinny person might eat, ask yourself, "Would a skinny person have 5 slices of pizza, or 1?"
Also I reccomend the low carb approach, it works. Especially if you eat tons of carbs...think about it do you eat loads of bread? two bits of it for breakfast? Four slices for lunch with sandwiches? what about cakes and desserts? chocolate bars...anything with sugar is really fattening...taking sugar and carbs away really helps.
Resources: Motivation. Low carb diets such as atkins...Dieting is boring when you love food...you're going to be bored with food for a few months but so what?
dieting is easy when you get used to eating just colsaw and chicken everyday.
