How to learn to paddle board
How I did it: I bought a Groupon a while back for a rental at Covewater Paddle. Almost right away, I knew it wasn't for me. Even with the built-in handle, I found it far more troublesome to carry than a surf board. Upon reaching the West Santa Cruz Habor, I had trouble carrying it; and, luckily, had some kind strangers offer to help. When I got onto the water, it was nice to just kneel on the board and paddle; gaining a sense of balance. After about thirty minutes, I tried standing up the way I learned to on a surf board, but fell into the water. Anyways, afterwards, I found I had taken the wrong key to my car, just the ignition key, so I was locked out. Some really nice strangers helped me out, letting me use their AAA card to have access to their emergency phone number, another letting me use her cellular phone to call, and another guy helped call Covewater Paddle, leaving a message to let them know the situation and such.
