How to finish a half marathon
"I booked my slot first, then I trained for months, building up endurance to walk the distance."
How I did it: I accepted a friend's challenge to walk it with her. Then I hurried up and found an on-line training program for half marathon beginners.
Four weeks of pre-training, then twelve weeks of training later... we (my challenger and I) were able to check this off our list with a feeling of triumph and joy!
