How I did it: I first signed up to 750.com at the end of April, and finding it a very useful and friendly website, I signed up for the May challenge. The idea of the challenge is that you commit to writing every day for a month. If you do, your name gets on the wall of awesomeness. If you don't, your name ends up on the wall of shame. I decided I wanted my name on the wall of awesomeness, so I wrote every day.Mostly I wrote rubbish, but some days I wrote emails and blog posts.

Lessons & tips:

• It's possible to finagle the time zone setting if you didn't quite get to the end of writing by the end of the day.
• The quickest I could write 750 words was in 45 minutes.
• It's a great tool for practicing one's touch-typing. The wrongly-typed words also count towards the 750.
