How I did it: By accident, our cruise port just happened to be out of New Orleans and my two teens had always heard the swirling menagerie of conversations that describe this diverse city. They were curious, we were there and so we went. First to Bourbon, then to Jackson Square, lots of streets in between, the conference center, the pier etc. If you haven't been then you should go. Just be warned taking a college age child within driving distance from her college probably isn't a good thing....we just wet her whistle for a wild time.   Laissez les bon temps routez. :)
