How to get an eel
How I did it: I went with my fiance to a large aquarium store that sells all sorts of exotic fish. He was just going to get some cichlids but I spotted a moray eel and I just had to have it! Our aquarium is nice and large, 55 gallon and had a gourami. a few cichlids and two plecos. I thought he'd do just fine in there, especially since we have a big rock tower thing with lots of tunnels, perfect for eels, since they like hiding in burrown and tunnels and just about anywhere. So we got him, took him home and added him to the aquarium. A few months later and he is still happily occupying the rock tunnels!
Lessons & tips: Look for eels at the aquarium stores. They don't eat flake or pellet food, they eat live feeders or frozen shrimps. They need good hiding places and require salt in the water or saltwater.
