How to lose 90 lbs
How I did it: I love marking milestones on this journey, I seem to have lots and lots of short term goals to help me get there. This is quite a big one to have reached though, so am delighted.
As of this morning, I have lost 91 lbs, or 6 1/2 stones. That's amazing, I cannot believe it.
The next big target is going to be the big 100 lbs, but lots of little steps to get there. I absolutely cannot wait, this is exactly the boost that I needed this morning.
Lessons & tips:
- Have a plan, any plan, that works for YOU. I like Slimming World a lot, because it's healthy eating and not counting calories.
- Stick at it, and see it as a long haul, not a marathon. A lot of people advocate fast weight loss, but slow and steady means that the habits stick.
- Set loads and loads of tiny steps on the way. I would never have set myself 90 lbs as a goal, but losing two pounds a week, six pounds a month, a stone, 10 lbs etc etc - that keeps me going (and will keep me going).
- Accountability is vital - weighing in, telling people who you're doing etc
- Prioritising - for me, weight loss is my most important goal of all right now.
