Equanimity

How I did it: There are things that may seem important up close, but looking at the big picture, are they still? If not, then it might not be worth agonizing over.
Another way to look at it, is to consider whether or not worrying will change anything, which can results in either a sense of helplessness or a sense of solace. While the former might not seem like a very desireable outcome, learning to accept the latter frees the mind to move on and literally forget your worries.
Worrying less doesn't happen because of some magnificent epiphany, and doesn't require diligent practice...it's just a matter of seeing things from a removed perspective.
Lessons & tips: The more things you try to control, the less control you have over each of those things. Think of influence as a valuable resource that each of us posesses. The best way to exercise your influence is to exert it where you know it'll have the most impact, and help others to do the same with theirs'. For everything else, allow yourself to accept the outcome that'll inevitably result from influences beyond your reach.
Resources: While not directly related to what I wrote above, mindfulness is a powerful tool that can lead to regular success in accepting sutiations for what they are.
