How to have nothing in my house that I do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful

Great job!

I also would like to do this. I have many things that I don’t love but that I keep anyway because they were given to me by people I care about, or because I paid ‘good money’ for them. It is hard to let go!

You have inspired me to start working on this again myself. Thanks!

you're welcome!

I’m glad I could inspire you. If you have trouble along the way, I suggest putting things in a box and sticking it in the back of the closet. If you don’t think about or need that item for several months, then you can get rid of it!

Try to also think of items in terms of emotional drain – how much effort to keep this item clean, how much room to store it, how much would it cost to move, how much guilt do you feel when you see it, etc. Weigh the benefits of ridding yourself of that against keeping the item, and it’ll help.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the suggestions and advice.
I’m going to think about how I want to start and create a goal for myself.
