How I did it: I decided I wanted a tattoo of a gecko a year and a half ago when I was in Fiji but didn't want to risk getting one done there! Then I just never got round to having it done at home and didn't think I could afford. But a couple months ago my friend decided to get a tattoo too and knew someone from work who could do them cheaper than the average place. So I found a design on the internet, went and had it done! I went in expecting the pain to be unbearable, after hearing stories of people fainting but it wasn't half as bad as I imagined - even on my foot! Now just waiting for it to heal and the soreness to wear off. Happy with the result :)

Lessons & tips: Don't get one unless you know you'll still be happy with it in many years from now!
