How I did it: I went to Ecuador for two weeks and stayed in the jungle for a week of that trip. On my way back to my hut one night I found a tarantula. I initially told our guide and then went to bed. But then I came back out to see if I could actually touch it. I started with it on my hand, got it on my shoulder, on my chest ... and then onto my face. I was shaking the whole time but the feeling afterwards was amazing, something I can't describe. I'll never be a huge fan of spiders but now I'm able to actually touch them or kill them by myself. I'm so thankful I went back out to touch him.
