How to be a good Maid of Honor
How I did it: I was thrown into it because as the sister of the bride, it was my duty to accept. I read a book about bridesmaid and maid of honor duties, did internet research, and took advice from those in the know. I put aside as much of my anxiety over doing this as possible, and gave it my best shot.
Lessons & tips: When people are unhelpful or don't respond the way you imagined they should, assume they are ignorant. Ask again. Follow up. Be patient. Be kind. Be friendly. Be calm and collected, or appear to be. Bounce ideas off others. Ask for help.
Resources: I read a book about being a bridesmaid, and it covered maid of honor duties as well. I don't recall the name right now, but there are many books out there like this.
I found information on the internet.
