How I did it: About two months ago i decided that i wanted to get my septum pierced. so after a few weeks of hardcore begging my mom she finally agreed. so we went to this  place in the mall called untouchable tattoos (they do piercings there. like pretty much every tattoo place does)  it was like 50$ there. including the actuall jewlery. okay so i sat in the chair and the dude marked the spot in my nose with a marker. then he laid out the jewlery and he put the little clamp thing on my nose. then he told me to take a deep breath. so i did. then he  told me to let it out. so i did... nothing. then he said take another breath. so i did again. and when he told me to let it out this time i felt him shove the needle through my nose. im not gonna lie. it hurt really bad. it also hurt when he put the jewlery in. but everyone else says theirs didnt hurt i think its just because of the guy not being very experienced because he pierced the cartalage, put the wrong jewlery in, didn't explain how to clean it, and he also did it slightly crooked. so make sure you check out the place first. lucky for me i already know a little bit about piercings and how to take care of them cause i have snakebites or it might have gotten infected. be carefull!
