How I did it: Les Miserables has long been my favourite musical since seeing the Schools versions several years ago in Ipswich.  Last year we went to watch it at the Theatre Royal in Norwich.  However I was still keen to see it properly in the West End.  When I found out Matt Lucas and Alfie Boe were appearing this summer I knew it was time.  I am getting married at the beginning of August so my Mum and I made a day of it and had our own little hen party in London to go and see it.  Alfie performed amazingly and Matt Lucas was hilarious and the perfect Thenardier.  The rest of the cast were amazing too.

Lessons & tips: Get decent seats, not too far back or too high up.  The Queens is a surprisingly small theatre but has two circles.  I know some people have said it was a bit high up in the upper circle so not ideal for people afraid of heights.  We were in the stalls and some of the atmosphere was lost by the low ceiling which obscured the view of the top of the set at times and lost some of the sound no doubt.  However still well worth it.  Check the cast first too!  See who is appearing and when.
