How to ride a motorcyle by hallsi

"Exhilarating."

How I did it: I have wanted to ride a motorcycle since I was 5 years old. I remember at my brother's wedding, one of his friend's had one and offered to take me for a spin around the parking lot. Whether he was serious or not, I'm not sure. And whether I didn't get to go because I was too scared or wasn't allowed, I don't remember. But I always wanted to since then. 


This goal was almost completed by accident, since I didn't pursue it really. I was just open to the opportunity when it arose. 

Lessons & tips: - If possible, get your motorcycle license and get a bike. 

- If not, the best thing is to make lots of friends. Chances are, you will eventually meet someone with a bike who is willing to let you hop on the back for a ride. 
- Be smart about it. Motorcycle riding isn't something you should do with a stranger, or someone you know to be reckless. 
- Always wear all the proper protective gear. Gloves, helmet, jeans(at least) and shoes that go past your ankles. 
- Talk with the driver before you hop on, they will have tips to ensure a safe and fun ride!
