How I did it: I have plenty of family which I love, but we live scattered, so I spoke about organizing a reunion with my brother. We contacted all the family by mail or phone and told them about it.
Then, one of my cousins offered his big house to stay in for the gathering. We looked for a weekend that was suitable for everybody, booked the train tickets and waited.

During the weekend we went to the swimming pool, had an excursion in the forests and talked a lot. Saturday night we got some beers in the garden and projected old photos form our grandparents and of us being kids,... it was an enjoyable moment.

It was fun and we plan to repeat it sometime in future.

Lessons & tips:

• It's all about fixing a day and finding a place.
• If you are a big family like us (we were more than 20), the best for the meals is to eat pizza, sandwiches or buy some chinese food. Is cheap and no one has to spend many time cooking and cleaning the kitchen.
• Looking together some old pictures creates a nice ambient and a sense of sharing something more than a surname.
