How to receive postcards from other people around the U.S. and the world!
How I did it: To accomplish this goal, I signed up (for free) with PostCrossing. It was so easy, fast, and worth it. My first sends were to Finland, Belarus, and Arizona (which is eerie b/c I had a penpal in 4th grade who also lived in AZ, apparently 30min from the postcrossing address). Check it out! www.postcrossing.com Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do. :)
Lessons & tips: International stamps (for all foreign mailing addresses except Mexico and Canada) are currently $0.94; less than I expected, but did not know that in the beginning. International postage is the same for letters or postcards. I'm probably just naive, but I did not know until a few years ago that there were cheaper stamps for postcards within the U.S. Silly me!
