How I did it: Where I used to live, we had carpet in the kitchen!! Never ever put carpet in a kitchen, because, I'm telling you, when you drop you strawberry yogourt milkshake on the floor, it stinks!! Anyways, my dog also thought carpet in a kitchen was not a good idea and started to remove it, pulling it off tread by tread! After a few months and a good part of the carpet gone, we decided it was time to do something we we removed what was left of the carpet, bought tiles and did it... well, my stepdad showed us how to do it. And when I bought the house I live in, I needed to do the bathroom walls around the bathtub and because I was such an experienced tile layer (!), it was quite easy.
