How to eat at an insanely expensive restaurant
"helped out the right friend"
How I did it: I had a friend moving out of her apartment after graduating college. I stuck out the packing and labeling boxes, a couple of days garage sale, selling of the fridge, appliances and cleaning the place top to bottom. Took over a week and didn't expect anything in return, because she was my best friend.
She returned the favor by taking me to a five start restaurant, that she treated herself to once in a while, and knew about the good dishes. We indulged in a very nice bottle of wine and dinner I would never take myself out to!
Lessons & tips:
- Its always good to lend a helping hand whether to a friend or a stranger. You never know if you'll get something great in return (lucky for me, it was a friend and dinner happened to be the bonus!)
- Unexpected rewards are some of the best things in life.
- I can return the favor in the same way sometime because I know how nice it feels
