How I did it: I checked out different websites on starting your own blog through google.  I spent time changing up my layout (you can find free layouts through google search).  I played around with it every couple of days.  I added on a little more piece by piece.  I am finally happy with how it looks and started posting.  No one has commented so far, but I'm sure I'll get a comment once I start posting more often.  I'm still having trouble trying to search for other blogs on my blog page - trying to find similar blogs of interest through same blog site.

Lessons & tips: Don't rush into anything and worry about setting a deadline.  That will just make it seem like a bigger project. Spend about 20min at a time, whenever you are free.  Make sure to look at other blogs for ideas! ^_^
