How I did it: First I was looking through some YouTube videos on how to cut your own hair, layers and such (I was rather fed up with one layer hair). And then I came across this little gadget called the creaclip, looks very much like a clip you put on food in bags to stop the food going soft/bad with a comb inside and a spirit level. Anyway, that's how I did it, and it's a tool I can use again and again to trim my hair and/or change it up a bit more :)

Lessons & tips:

• Do you research, don't just go for it, watch plenty of different videos and decide what you want to do.
• Don't cut your hair when wet, you'd be surprised by how much your hair shrinks when it's wet.
• Make sure that you have your parents permission, if you're under age, that is.

Of course, you don't need to buy this to cut your hair, I just personally wanted to take some of the worry out of it.
