How to eat sushi
How I did it: We were having Japanese food and on their menu was vegan sushi. Being vegan it's not always easy to find notable places to try new foods, especially those which I have wanted to try for a very long time, so I ordered it along with a banquet my family was having. Others had eaten sushi before so could comment to it's authenticity.
Lessons & tips: Make sure your restaurant or recipe is reputable. Sushi is an acquired taste for many people, and even vegan sushi tastes fishy due to the sea veggies it's rapped in. Therefore you do need to taste it at it's best, not from a dodgy recipe or quick take out place where it's been sitting all day. Sushi is also raw so you need it to be freshly made for you.
Resources: A reputable authentic Japanese restaurant was where I tried sushi. The rest of my meal was delicious, but I really didn't like the sushi. But that's my tastes. You may find it delicious! I think the best advice I can give is to first try it at a recommend venue. That way you know you're getting the best there is first go.
