How I did it: I needed a backpack that was big enough for my 17" laptop and had features to carry my skateboard at the same time.
Most skateboard carriers, if they have a laptopthingy at all, are for 15" max. So it was quite a search to find one that was big enough ánd didn't look awful.

I did finally get one though! Dakine AC Series Covert.

I do dislike how large it is sometimes, but it's eased my need to carry my laptop and/or skateboard, so I may not complain! :)
