How I did it: I actually didn't care for this book at first. I read half of it, and put it down once I got to dragon's mountain.
But two months later, I picked it back up, and I'm really glad that I did.
The characters in this book are truly genuine. Bilbo is fun and silly without ever meaning to be. The plot was a little slow (for me), but it picks up throughout the book. The setting is great. Who wouldn't want to live in Tolkien's world?
