How to go to a concert
How I did it: Well, my boyfriend originally invited me along with a couple of his friends to a Grieves and Budo show, but tickets sold out before we could get our hands on them. That was okay though. We later heard about a CD release show (pretty much turned into a rave) that was going down in Mpls. It was held in a warehouse, so finding it was the hard part. It was from 8PM-5AM; we ended up staying until 3:30AM. I can't even begin to describe how awesome the night was. Between the live MCs and DJs, non-stop dancing/jumping/moving, free beer, kick-ass people, amazing sound system and setup...wow, I wonder if any show will ever be able to top that! Wait, they're hosting their second production soon! Oh, hell YES!!!!! I'm psyched! I'm so happy that my first over 21 concert was this one!
*WE MAY BE HARD TO SEE, BUT MY BOYFRIEND (black shirt) AND I (red tank) ARE THE COUPLE IN THE BACK OF THE PICTURE (kinda blurry), WITH OUR HANDS IN THE AIR...HAVING AN ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE TIME!!!*
Lessons & tips: Uhm...don't bring your entire life with you in your bag/purse; smaller is better.
Make sure you bring enough money (but not so much that if you lose it, or someone steals it from you, your world will end) to cover at-the-door tickets, food, drinks, and any other random BS you want.
Be nice to the host and staff. They can get a bit irate if people show up at their door, wanting to come in and fight you for the hoodie and cigars they think you stole! (It was a big musunderstanding on our part)
Never go alone. That goes double if there's alcohol involved.
Talk to anyone and everyone!
Remember the good time you had...if you can, lol.
