How to run in a 5k
"It's all about perseverance."
How I did it: I used the "Couch-to-5K" plan. There were steps that I did not finish, but those reasons were more mental than physical.
I did it in steps, starting with alternating between walking and running and adding more running and less walking until it became one run.
I was happy that I ran it non-stop, disappointed with the time.
Lessons & tips: Mental preparation is as important as physical preparation.
