How I did it: I subscribed to the band's email list and checked their website for events in SoCal.  They played this weekend in Glendale, close to where I live, so I put it on my calendar and made sure I went.  They told me after the concert that they had only found out they were playing in Glendale 6 days earlier, so they didn't have a chance to update their website with the date.

Lessons & tips: Email and Facebook are now as important for finding out about groups as websites and scheduled concerts.

Resources: The band gets a lot of community support because they play family friendly music that gets yolu wanting to dance!  Anyone is SoCal who enjoys Zydeco music should check out this band.
