How to attend a Zombie Crawl by Mallory Bush

How I did it: There is a zombie crawl in most major cities, but the Denver one sets world records for the amount of participants. There were advertisements for it all over my dorm, so my one roommate and I decided to go. 

We went to Walmart and spent $10 on a huge bottle of fake blood and some temporary tattoos that look like open wounds. We took about 15 minutes to pale our faces, cover our eyes in black makeup, and apply fake blood to look like zombies grabbing at us. I made it look like I had a slit throat. Zombie crawls are fun and people get really into them. 

I wore a shirt that said "WE'RE NOT DEAD" for some irony.

Lessons & tips: -WEAR CLOTHES YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT. Fake blood won't come all the way off of clothes, and takes a while to get off of your skin.

-Have fun with it. Go all out. Rip up your clothes, bathe in fake blood, adopt a limp for the day.

-Reference other big things. There were a lot of Occupy Wall Street signs modified to be zombie like, such as one that said "TAX THE RICH" and over the word tax, "EAT" was written in fake blood.
