How to study French history

How I did it: I am studying french history because I was introduced to the french language at 11 yrs old and I've been fascinated with it ever since.
Last Summer I decided to travel to France and it rocked my world. I switched from a liberal arts major to a french major and applied to a State University in which to transfer from my community college while I applied to that University's study abroad program. Et voilà. Je suis là maintenant.
Lessons & tips: Studying the history of ANY culture different from your own is a fantastic way to see your own culture in a new light.
It's a way to take a nice look at your life history thus far.
And studying the ways of another culture gives you the opportunity to pick up any traits that you hadn't before known about that could make your life a bit nicer. Who knows.
