How I did it: PurpleHeather sent me an invite for this goal.  It does help focusing on smaller goals at a time I suppose.  

I obviously knew all of my grandparents names because I got to have them all in a part of my life.  And I was lucky enough to had personally known 3 of my great-grandparents, so getting the other 5 wasn't too hard.

My grandfather's parents on my mother's side I had met both of them.  And my grandfather and mom knew my grandma's parent's names.

On my dad's side, I knew my grandmother's mother, and she told me her father's name.  However after going to the cemetery I found out his name was actually a variation of his birth name.
And my dad told me the name's of my grandfather's parents on his side, and I confirmed them by going to the cemetery as well.

Lessons & tips: TALK!!! Talk to as many family members as you can and as soon as possible. I greatly wish I had gotten interested in all of this when more of my grandparents were still living. Now I have to rely on information I find online and hope its accurate.

(I do have first and last names for all 8 but I covered them over due to privacy and just sharing their first names.)
