This
looks absolutely amazing. I saw one at my friend’s place and wanted to have one for myself but now I think once I get some time I would make it. Thanks for the inspiration.
How I did it: I looked on some websites and based my idea on a few different ones...
I bought a metal ring (I couldn't find the vine they talked about - but will try and find it for the next one I make) and I also bought the string, the feathers (I will use ones I find next time too) and the leather I used for the edging.
I found the shells on the beach, and used beads I had at home.
I started by weaving the web pattern first (using the website below) and then wound the leather twine around the edges. I then tied the feathers on, threading the shells and beads as I went...
Lessons & tips: I am not 100% happy with the outcome. I think the edge would look better darker, and I would like to use more found materials next time.
Some glue would be helpful to make the feathers sit straight when tied.
