Congrats quitting what makes you unhappy
Good luck on your future, I’m sure the universe will make everything work out!!!
How I did it: I was absolutely miserable there. I was grossly underpaid, never got the quarterly bonuses that I was promised, or the raise that I was promised and they were making me work more and more hours. I decided to set my priorities and I handed in my two week notice yesterday. I thought I was being polite and professional by giving notice and I did so in a polite way. He just went off on a tangent told me how angry and disappointed he was in me and insulted my religion. When I came in this morning he just told me to pack up my stuff and go. So I did. The co-owner of the company is a super sweet woman and she came out in the parking lot as I was leaving and gave me a hug told me to keep in touch and that she cared about me. I really appreciated that. The other owner was just rude to me after spending all these months telling me how amazing I am for the company, but because my timing wasn't the best for him, he decided to throw a fit. So I am officially unemployed. The future should be interesting.
Lessons & tips: Doesn't matter if you try to be polite and professional and try to leave on a good note- a 65+ year old man might still turn into a 2 year old baby and chew you out.

Insulted your religion? Isn’t it wrong? I don’t know what he said but you could sue him if he said too much….
Talk to a lawyer. I hope they gave you severance pay.
It’s great that you walked out of a place that didn’t make you happy. And as for that boss, he’ll remain a mean old man and you’ll go on to live a life of your dreams :) God bless you.
The Chocolate Girl! is standing up for herself!
Im sure something positive will come out of leaving a toxic environment. Now you can work where your happy. And in something you love. And where you get paid nicely with benefits n lots of holidays!! :D
Wish you the best! :D
Holly is not doing so good on getting things done!
Depending on the rules where you live you may be able to demand the last two weeks’ pay as you gave notice but then were sort of “terminated”. An employer can’t do that in my jurisdiction. Something similar happened to my father.
Check into it. Might be worth paying a lawyer a small fee to send a letter to your former employer. And since you now have time on your hands…. :)

Thanks everyone for your kind words and advice! It’s very liberating to not be working there anymore. I get to sleep in tomorrow woo! Haha. I really appreciate all the cheers and comments. Thank you!!
