How to have surgery
"Painful but necessary"
How I did it: An injury that limits your physical activity and quality of life is an injury that impacts the rest of your life. Knowing this, I made sure that I knew what was wrong with my shoulder/rotator cuff and once surgery was recommended, followed through until the surgery was complete. Always follow up with your doctor (and make sure you do have the right doctor!).
Lessons & tips: Most surgeries are elective these days unless they are life
threatening. Therefore you have to be informed and know what your
choices are so you and your body can be in the best shape possible!
Resources: Friends, 2nd medical opinion, research about my surgery options.
