How I did it: My husband got a job, we researched apartments while out there doing interviews, and we drove across the country with all of our belongings and our dog.

Lessons & tips: Go to the desert as much as you can in the winter.  Avoid the casinos.  Sign up for houseseatslv.com and get free tickets to shows.  Drive to all the neighboring sites--Joshua Tree, Valley of Fire, the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park.  See things that the born and bred locals forget.

Living in Las Vegas 2 yrs now

I really love living in Las Vegas. I moved here 2 yrs ago and I think its an awesome city. You are right about house seats. Its a great local service for free show tickets. We saw Carrot Top free the other night. Hilarious!

I live in Henderson (green valley) its a beautiful suburb of the las vegas Valley.
