How to see Nutcracker with the kids
"breathtaking "
How I did it: My daughter's girl scout troop decided to go to the Girl Scout Night at the Washington Ballet. When I was a little girl, my mother took my sisters and I to "The Nutcracker." I really loved it, and I knew that I would one day take my own children. I've been wanting to for awhile, but things never fell into place until now.
The kids and I headed to the Warner Theater and waited for the performance to begin. The kids were tired, so they were irritable while waiting. I was ready to tear my hair out. My daughter was whining, and my son was complaining, but I knew they would come around when the dancers started dancing. They did!
They were captivated by the entire performance. I saw my son sitting on the edge of his seat, and Isabelle smile whenever there was a new dance. I was also feeling the same way. The dancers did an amazing job, and I was glad that the kids enjoyed it.
Lessons & tips: Kids might be impatient while waiting. Just relax
