How I did it: I completed my goal of participating in an art show by following other crafty artsy bloggers' articles on their experiences. I combined this knowledge with other related articles from expert websites such as "Craft Report" and made a plan. The final step is of course to apply for participation until you get accepted.

Lessons & tips: Start with local shows as having to travel will only make things more complicated prematurely and unnecessarily. Get involved in local arts and crafts groups to either create your own shows or learn how to find shows to participate in. You'll also learn about what others did right and wrong; this way you know what to look out for.

Resources: Craft Report website is a great resource on the craft-selling market as well as how to sell traditional arts. Etsy seller teams are a great support structure, especially for learning the ins-and-outs of the local selling market.
