How to buy a new laptop by JodieSparkes

"Thanks to the family, I got a massive bargain!"

How I did it: Well, my stepdad managed to get his grubby paws on a really splendid laptop. Top of the line mumbo jumbo. He wanted to sell it onto me for $300 but I hesitated. I didn't need anything really fancy - as long as I can do my writing and listen to music, it's all good from where I am.

Then his mother came to visit. She loves top of the range tech, the best money can buy - not that she actually knows how to use it. It just looks nice in the living room ;]
So he offers her the new laptop and I get her second hand one for $100 (using Christmas money too, so it cost next to nothing!)
And I use second hand with a rather large pinch of salt - this thing is brand spanking new. She barely knows how to send an email so it's in pristine condition, cost her a fortune when she ordered it and my stepdad was the man that picked it out for her from the Dell website, so it's guaranteed to be a good 'un.
So there we go.
I was sensible with my money AND I got a new laptop.
BOOM!
