How I did it: I've always wanted to see a lighted boat parade ever since I just missed the one in Newport, CA a few years ago.  We finally made it to the Boca Raton one when we went to Florida to celebrate Christmas.

Lessons & tips: Research on the internet to locate a boat parade.  As far as finding it that night, we just went early and then followed the crowd to a little alcove of a park right off a main road where everyone was gathering to watch it.  We sat with our legs over the pier with front row seats!
