How I did it: I looked up the next meeting, rsvp'd and showed up. It was so much fun. My borrowed camera even died and I still had fun! I went to meetups for a few years and still have several friends from this group. I dated someone from this group for a long while, though we're not together anymore. Flickrites is a wonderful way to get out in Seattle and see bars and sights and meet all sorts of different people.
Don't be intimidated of you aren't a totaly camera geek. I wasn't and I still had tons of fun.
