How to figure out Skype by Carm

"So rewarding!"

How I did it:

  • I read article about Skype online
  • I went to the Skype website and read all the material there for newbies 
  • Signed up for an account and downloaded software 
  • I talked to a friend who had recently started Skyping and arranged a practice session 
  • We practiced and adjusted settings 

Lessons & tips:

  • Find a trusted friend who knows how to do it and get them to help you
  • Don't get flustered if it doesn't work perfectly the first time - hang in there and try adjusting settings

  • A good friend willing to help 
  • My new laptop with  a webcam
