How to learn how to cook 10 good meals
"By concentrating on a set number of meals I became more confident in cooking and planning items that work together for meals"
How I did it: Started with main dishes my family liked or things I wanted to try. Learned how to cook them, mainly by experimenting, reading about techniques online or in cookbooks. Figured out good side dishes that worked well with the main dishes, and put these recipes to the test in my kitchen a few times, got feedback from the family, and kept things in rotation in our menu planning.
Lessons & tips: Work from foods you like and that fit your lifestyle. I have a lot of easy but wholesome items in my 10, and a lot that can be mostly made ahead.
Resources: Recipe sites & cooking blogs, but the most useful thing of all is time in the kitchen.
