Katy Thanks for all the cheers guys !!
Congratulations on quitting !!
It can be really hard but well worth it.
How I did it: I think I will always ask myself if I want another one. The reasons as to why we started in the first place are still there.
Over months I was able to determine when I really "needed" one and slowly break those habits. I began to no longer light up as soon as I got into the car to drive to work and eventually by identifying these time I was able to take them one at a time, to eventually stop buying packs altogether.
I did also spend a week on a Yoga retreat in Mexico, there I only noticed a couple of times I really wanted one, however none of the others on the trip smoked, so I was forced to change my thinking.
Lessons & tips: The times I decided that I was so freaked out, stressed or whatever
that I had one I haven't beaten myself up about it.
I am working toward
finding a better method of handling stress.
