How to be a better person by Heartscribblez

"See what you have, be grateful. Find the beauty in life, and it will be easier to be a great person."

How I did it: Surround yourself by people who make you happy, people you can talk to and relate with. Whenever something bad happens, look at all the good things in your life. When you feel jealous of someone else, just remember what you have. Remind yourself frequently that everyone is human. Everyone makes mistakes, and there is beauty in just about everyone. You just have to take time to find it.

Lessons & tips: Do things for others, give second chances, forgive people who have hurt you, and be a good listener. It makes you a happier person, and you will eventually stop envying those people you were jealous of before.

For me, it was reading books about people’s experiences in the Peace Corps. I find them extremely inspiring. Maybe you could find something else inspiring to you, if those don’t do it.

Those are just a few.They remind me to always be thankful for what I have and keep me excited about joining the Peace Corps, which is a dream of mine.
