How I did it: I waited all my Life until 2 Years ago was able to Convince my Wife. Did some research on the Various Breeds but I was pretty much clear on the Breeds either Great Danes or German Shepherds. Chose German Shepherd, cuz Great Danes are great but lookslike their Lifewe Span is short compared to a GSD and GSDs are Smart, Brave and Kewl!

Lessons & tips: Before buying the Dog, Fix your House to get your Buddy in. Prepare a Checklist and have all those ready before bringing in Fido. Read a Few Good books and Spend some time and Money in gettting some Quality Training. cuz..Its not the Dogs that need Training but the Owners. Try to Involve the Whole Family in the Training and Maintenance of the Dog, otherwise it might become a Problem Later on. Every Pure Breed has some Unique Qualities for itself. Learn about it and cater to it, so you will be a Happy Life Long Buddy with you!
